The CPC graphic style is a layering of elements that, as a whole, make up a distinct look for the brand. These elements may be used individually or together in communications materials.
Graphic Elements
The CPC gradient is an even mix of CPC Dark Blue and Light Blue and should only be used as a background element when CAD drawings are used in conjunction.
The gradient is a linear gradient, moving left to right from CPC Dark Blue to CPC Light Blue. The gradient percentage can shift as long as there is an even blend of color. Avoid hard color transitions.
This gradient is used in our logo and can be applied to a design element under special circumstances, such as trade show product containers or sample mailing pieces. This gradient should be used sparingly and within a designer's discretion.
The wireframe represents fluid movement, and should be used en masse. The wireframe should be a light background element used behind products, not to detract from the product itself. It may also be used as an entire background element but should be used in CPC Light Blue or Light Grey against a white background. When used with a button, the confluence of wireframe lines should land behind the button, drawing in the eye.
The stroke width of the wireframe should stay thin and the opacity level should stay below 20% to not visually overtake the product, message or prominent graphic of the piece.
Use the CAD drawings as a graphical background element when using product photography. This reflects the science and precision that goes into every CPC product. Drawings should never be more than 10% opacity on a white background or 20% on a color background. Always use a thin stroke width (1-2 pt. is a good rule of thumb) for the drawing that scales with the proportion of the graphic.
CAD drawings should have measurements removed when used as a background elementwith product photography. When used alone, CAD drawings can include measurements.
Product imagery should be cleanly captured in photography. A light shadow may be used to ground the product in certain assets. When placing product images, product latches should be on top and the CPC logo should always be in the correct orientation.
Used to represent a series in marketing materials. Most commonly seen in catalog/spec sheet templates. Certain series utilize multiple connected products to showcase versatility. Additional representations may include a connected set of products attached to tubing. Products should be photographed in perspective to show full form.
Most common image, showing single product only. Top, Front, and Side all visible. Product bodies and genderless parts should have the connection point facing the camera with any clips pointed upward. Insert parts will be photographed in the same style, rotated 180 degrees. If it is considered an insert, the termination will face the camera.
Used on website and catalog table-of-contents to represent a series. Gendered products will have insert on the left leading into the body on the right side. If applicable should have CPC logo facing camera. Can utilize both top, or side views.
